thearmoury: In trying to be a good gentleman’s outfitter, we often get asked: “What watch should I wear?” A massively subjective question but I firmly believe at the very least, you should wear a watch that “fits”. In the same way a suit should fit a person, a watch should as well. Factors such as size, thickness, length and curvature are key. Does your watch look and feel proportionate to your hand and arm? Does it look natural? These days, watches are getting larger and larger. If you have never tried something in 36mm or even 38mm, with a thickness of less than 12mm, try it. It is increasingly difficult to find these sizes on new watches yet I find these sizes the most subtly beautiful of all. There are a lot of 36’s floating around as vintage pieces, Omega being one of the most common, accessible and reasonably priced.  Pictured: my wife’s grandfather’s old Omega Constellation, two tone and I added the brown alligator strap later.  (Also, if you were to replace the word “watch” with “penis” in this post, the result is hilarious. Well, to me at least.)
